Is Electronic Underground Pet Fencing Right For My Dog or Cat,
and How Does it Work?

Electronic Underground Pet Fencing is extremely beneficial for most dogs and cats. By allowing your pets the freedom to roam their yard you eliminate the stress caused by chaining or caging them when you are not at home or are unable to supervise them. This also reduces the risk of your pet wandering the neighborhood & getting lost or stolen. Underground pet fencing systems are widely accepted by veterinarians as a healthy alternative to traditional fencing methods. Veterinarians provide emergency medical treatment to hundreds of pets every day that are struck by automobiles. These risks can be greatly reduced by containing your pet to your yard.

The operation of an electronic fencing system is easy to understand. A transmitter is mounted in the garage or house which transmits a signal through an antenna that is inserted under the ground around the perimeter of your property. This is done with a machine with little or no disruption to your lawn or property. Each installation is customized to meet the specific needs of each pet owner. Gardens, pools, and landscaping or any area can be fenced off so your pet can not enter those areas. A tiny computer on your pets collar receives a signal from the boundary antenna. This signal tells your pet where his boundaries are. Your pet is trained to obey an audible tone emitted from the receiver collar. If he ignores the warning tone he will then receive a mild static correction. Your pet is startled by the correction and thus learns respect for his boundaries, but is never harmed in any way.

Electronic Underground Pet Fencing is approved in most deed restricted communities, where conventional fencing is not allowed. Also available are remote training systems which operate similar to underground fencing systems. These systems expedite the training process. Typically what would take weeks of training can be accomplished in hours. They are especially effective in correcting unacceptable behavioral problems.
